Areas of Expertise
The Americans with Disabilities Act protects individuals who are Deaf and hard of hearing. That's where we come in. We place in-class interpreters for students for the duration of the semester, substitute for staff interpreters, and support faculty and families who may require interpreting services.
Skilled in matching the interpretation to the student's communication needs, Crabtree interpreters work to ensure all student's needs are met in the classroom with an understanding that consistency in interpretation can make the difference for successful performance in higher education.
Often times students and families require interpreter services for whole or half-day special education programs, ARD meetings, IEP meetings, and instructional activities. Our interpreters are well trained and love what they do.
Be it a job interview, theatrical performance, legal or medical appointment, Crabtree's American Sign Language Interpreters are always assigned to a request with careful thought to the interpreter's qualifications and are selected to match the best interpreter for the job.
Regional day Programs (RDSPD)
We support RDSPDs across the state of Texas. Recognizing and following the program's preferred mode of communication be that ASL or SEE, our interpreters provide language consistency and modeling that enhances language acquistion.
Cognizant of the sensitive nature of many assignments in the social services field, our ASL interpreters work to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at every interaction displaying discretion when necessary. Should you require the support of an ASL interpreter for your meeting with a Deaf or hard of hearing consumer, contact our scheduling team below.
